ReStore Donations
Do you have new or gently used items you’d like to give away? We provide free pick-ups for large items. Ways you can donate include: donating items from home or your business/church/organizations, host a donation drive and, last but not least, spread the word! By making a donation, you will help Habitat eliminate substandard housing and prevent items from ending up in the landfill.

Our ReStore is now offering self service scheduling for pick up of large items. You pick a day and time that works for you! Be sure to review the items that we are not able to accept and if you have any questions please contact us.
Items We Accept
Must be ten years old or newer, working, with all knobs for resale*
- Electric ranges and ovens (no used gas ranges)
- Range hoods
- Range tops
- Refrigerators/Freezers
- Washers/Dryers (no gas dryers)
- HVAC units, five years old or newer
- Dishwashers and water heaters
* we accept non-working appliances for our recycle program
*Please note due to new EPA regulations, we cannot accept dishwashers or certain refrigerators unless they are certified lead free.
- Except for encyclopedias
In good condition with doors attached and drawers intact
- Full kitchen and bathroom sets
- Individual pieces
- Countertops – Corian and granite (no Formica/laminate unless they are straight sections, with no holes)
- Entryway units
- Exterior or interior – no rot, cracks, or missing panes
- Pre-hung or door slabs, no taller than 84
- LCD/touch screen monitors - 2012 or newer
- Televisions (flat panel only) 2012 or newer
- Home theater equipment: receivers, speakers, DVD players
- Video game consoles, games, and accessories
- Laptops and computer towers
- No printers/scanners
- Hardwood/laminate flooring, 100 sq. ft. or more
- New or gently used carpet and rugs
- New padding
- New vinyl tiles or vinyl sheets (should be in boxes, not loose)
- Slate, marble and ceramic tile
In good condition and structurally sound; if upholstered, must be free of pet hair, tears, stains, and odor
- Bedroom furniture
- Bookshelves, case goods
- Tables, chairs, coffee tables, entertainment centers
- Couches, love seats and ottomans
- Patio furniture
- Pianos (drop-off only, no pick-up available)
- No particle board furniture
- Complete sets of door hardware
- Any quantity of hinges, nails, screws, hangers, etc.
- Fixtures and ceiling fans (must be in working condition)
- Must be in good condition, have no rips, stains, or structural defects.
- Must be less than 8 years old
*Please note that we can only pick up mattresses if we are also picking up other donation items.
- Wallpaper, tools, and glue
- Bathtubs and shower enclosures – new tubs only, except cast iron (only cast iron we can accept is clawfoot and easily accessible)
- Sinks – kitchen and bath (without rust or cracks)
- Toilets (residential only, must be 1.6 gpf or less)
- Miscellaneous plumbing hardware, fittings, pipes
Must be in working order
- Garden tools
- Hand and power tools
- Lawnmowers
- Shutters and blinds, new or cordless
- Windows – double-hung, picture, or bay (complete, without rot, cracks, or foggy glass)
Items We Do Not Accept
Although we much appreciate everyone who wants to donate to the ReStores, we aren’t able to accept some items because of safety concerns or low turnover. When we accept items that we cannot sell, we incur high dumpster fees, which reduces the money available to support our mission.

- Commercial lighting and furniture
- Encyclopedia
- Garage doors
- Executive desks (can accept when less than 4ft long and in a residential setting)
- Office cubicles
- China Cabinets
- Large Entertainment Center
- Upholstered Furniture with Pet Hair
- Pianos
- Baby items other than toys
- Hard-wired fluorescent lights
- Hazardous materials (solvents, strippers, oil-based items, anti-freeze)
- Infant car seats, cribs, strollers, toys
- Lumber less than 6′ long
- Moldy materials
- Opened Paint
- Printers
- Sleeper sofas
- Shower doors
- Sliding glass doors (unless vinyl and insulated)
- Toilets larger than 1.6 gpf
- TVs older than 2012 or without power cords.
- Unframed mirrors or glass
- Used gas appliances
- Used fluorescent lights
- Used humidifiers
- Roomba vacuum cleaners
